GSCC's 70th Anniversary Parade of Race Cars

Sunday 9th November 2025

The Parade will assemble at 09:00AM on Sunday 9th November at the Grafton Library car park (126-144 Pound St, Grafton), leaving under Highway Patrol Escort at 10:00AM.

We will be travelling along Pound Street to Turf Street, then onto Summerland Way to Mountain View, then onto Clarence Way to the Mountain View Motorsport Complex (262 Clarence Way, Mountain View NSW 2460).

A BBQ lunch and other social activities will be provided at the track.

A bus will be provided to return drivers to their car trailers (if left at the car park).

All unregistered vehicles must be the subject of either an Application for Unregistered Vehicle Permit or Vehicle Suitable for Safe Use Declaration (read more about these below).

Open wheel race cars with no lights and indicators must be able to provide a chassis or other ID number to obtain a permit.

Information for Club members who require an Unregistered Vehicle Permit to enter the Parade.

Application for Unregistered Vehicle Permit and Vehicle Suitable for Safe Use Declaration forms are available on the Services NSW website – links below:

HOW TO COMPLETE: Application for Unregistered Vehicle Permit

    1. On the Application for Unregistered Vehicle Permit in the ‘Details of the Proposed Journey’ section insert:
“Starting From – Grafton Sporting Car Club 70th Anniversary Parade under Police Escort from The Grafton Library Carpark, Pound St, Grafton, NSW 2460.
Arriving at – The Mountain View Motorsport Complex 262 Clarence Way Mountainview, NSW 2460. A distance of approx. 15km.”

    2. In the section, ‘Why is the vehicle not being registered’, write “Parade”.

    3. In the vehicle type, write “Car”.

    4. Please note that a VIN number is not essential – the RMS has advised that where a VIN number is unable to be supplied (this would apply to any pre-1989 vehicle), a picture of the serial, chassis or any other identifying number on the vehicle would speed up the process of issuing the permit.

HOW TO COMPLETE: Vehicle Suitable for Safe Use Declaration

On the Vehicle Suitable for Safe Use Declaration in section 3:

    1. Tick ‘Unregistered Vehicle Permit’ then go to ‘Complying Vehicle’ and tick the appropriate boxes.

    2. Complete the rest of the form and in Section 6 ‘Where will the vehicle be operated’, write “Grafton NSW to Mountain View NSW. Distance 15km.”

The staff at Service NSW Grafton are aware that there will be a number of requests for ‘Unregistered Vehicle Permits’ and ‘Vehicle Suitable for Safe Use Declarations’ and will issue if given correctly completed forms as per above.
